Camp, glamp or spoil yourself with our 17th Century Hayloft...

“ We need the tonic of wildness...we can never have enough of nature.”

- Henry David Thoreau, Life in the Woods

Free spirits (or those who need to free their spirits a little…) this is the perfect place for you! A back-to-nature paradise in truly beautiful surroundings, Cwmffrwd Farm is nestled on the south-west facing slopes of the Black Mountains range. Described as the most 'spectacularly scenic and peaceful site' in the Brecon Beacons National Park, this is a place where you can really rest and reconnect with nature.

Campsite pitches are spaced widely apart and individually mown into the  meadows, with an abundance of grasses and wildflowers all about you. A short hop, skip and jump in every direction, you’ll also find space to run, trees to climb, and a stream to paddle those toes in. Protecting and supporting the natural biodiversity is a priority here, as well as preserving a sense of wilderness. To achieve this, we strive to make the landscape a place where wildlife can thrive by restoring habitats and teaching about the ways in which we can nuture and support ecosystems. For this reason, everything is kept very simple and traditional on the campsite. We have three compost loos, one flushing toilet, a shower and a washing up area. To reduce impact on the meadows, vehicles park at the entrance and guests walk to their pitches. (Vans can drive to their pitch.) During May half-term and August school holidays, our four bell tents are also bookable.

Open throughout the year, our beautiful fully furnished 17th Century hayloft is located at the heart of the farm and sleeps up to six, with its own parking space. We recommend you book directly with us to avoid Airbnb fees, but click here to see more information.

Our beautiful Black Mountains provide ample opportunities for lengthy rambles and hikes, but it's also worth checking out the events page to see what's happening at the farm. Pridie runs a variety of workshops from storytelling to foraging, and we even have a woodsman and artist resident this year who will also be running workshops!
