Described by visitors as ‘cosy, magical and the perfect place to escape’, the Hayloft is an original stone-built Welsh crog loft that adjoins the main farmhouse. Although it is next to the main house, it is still private. The entrance and patio area are accessed from the parking space located at the end of the farm. The patio is partially screened but is beside the central farm yard so guests are able to see the comings and goings about the farm but still feel comfortable in their own space. There is a small portable barbecue, picnic bench and umbrella provided, with two extra outdoor chairs in the Hayloft if needed.
 
The front door is accessed up steps from the parking space and opens into a lounge with stone walls, framed wooden screen, exposed beams, three-seater sofa, two armchairs, gas stove and small flat-screen internet TV. A single step leads up into the galley kitchen and open plan dining area with a high beamed ceiling.

The kitchen includes an electric oven, fridge, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery, and  is stocked with the 'essentials' - teabags, coffee, sugar and olive oil, dishwashing cloth, dishwasher tabs, tea towel and cleaning materials.

The dining area has a large wooden table with benches to seat six, plus a comfy corner chair and wide fleece-lined window sill for watching ‘sheep TV’ through the window and two well-stocked cabinets full of books, games and magazines.

The bathroom has a full suite, a walk in shower, roll top bath and a heated towel rail. Face towels, bath towels, toilet roll and liquid hand soap are provided.

The main bedroom is up steep wooden steps on the mezzanine floor above the lounge. There are curtains to pull across the partition for privacy. The end bedroom has two single beds plus a bunk bed with two singles. Bedding and bed linen and are provided in both bedrooms. Spare blankets are on the cabinet in the dining room and hot water bottles are also provided.

The Hayloft also overlooks the front farmyard so additional cars are welcome to park there or in the campsite meadow carpark if it is summer. Across the yard guests have a wonderful view across sheep filled green fields to the mountain Mynydd Troed.

Whatever the season, our guests are always welcome to walk in the meadows with dogs on leads, and children will love exploring the stream and the tree swing up at the big ash in the first field. From May to September our fields are managed as wild-flower meadows - allowed to grow tall and beautiful - so when campsite season comes around we can mow paths to the pitches and provide acres of space for children (and grown ups) to run free! In the winter months our sheep and horses graze the farm but they love a chat with visiting guests and we will always advise you where they are grazing when you come. Lots of walk info is provided in the welcome folder but we always encourage guests to give us a shout if you'd like to chat about where to go - we love to help you plan your activities while you stay and there's so much to do locally!

Heating and hot water are supplied via an air-source heat pump and solar PV. The Hayloft has free Starlink wifi and there is also the option to book the beautiful wood-fired sauna (£45 for an hour session). Please message Pridie for more details.

Dogs are very welcome.  We just ask that they don't go on the beds or furniture, and that muddy paws and wet fur are dried at the door using the towels provided. Maximum two dogs per stay, although do get in touch if you'd like to bring more. Dogs must not be left unattended at the property and must be on leads at all times around the farm and in the meadows (we have chickens, sheep,  horses and cattle grazing around the farm). The dog poo bin is located by the front gate.
