A unique outdoor skills day that blends bushcraft with a magical mix of ancient lore and stories.

Discover the stories and lore of our land
An introduction to the following: tree and plant identification, seasonal foraging, wild crafting, natural and map navigation, shelter building, using tools outdoors, fire lighting, and cooking on fire. Plus, a guided walk in the Brecon Beacons National Park, the constant sharing of a wide variety of stories and folklore associated with the plants, trees and creatures we encounter, a delicious vegetarian supper cooked on the fire, and the option to stay on and camp overnight at Cwmffrwd Farm Campsite.
Participants are asked to bring their own lunch to eat on our afternoon walk.

Fireside storytelling sessions in the
Aelwyd Field at Cwmffrwd Farm
Keep an eye out for our evening storytelling sessions happening throughout the summer. In addition to storytellings, we'll be welcoming a number of very talented local singer and songwriters to join us in our sharing of the old stories!

Give your grownups a break and hang out with us for a couple of hours where we'll be building dens, sharing some stories and getting on with some curious kinds of Celtic crafting...
(Pridie is a qualified teacher, DBS checked, first aid trained and fully insured. Children will be supervised and remain on site at all times.)
Willow Weaving Workhop

8 spaces per workshop
10am - 4ish, all ages welcome
(under 11 must be accompanied - classed as 1 booking)
£65pp / per workshop, including all materials and tools
Workshops will be held in the central hearth field at Cwmffrwd Farm (if weather is not so kind then we'll be tucked up in the barn.)
A very special opportunity to spend time with the wonderful Heather Dickens. We'll be making a beautiful berry basket. Nourished throughout by homemade cake/biscuits and lots of interesting teas/fresh coffee.
