FESTIVAL FUN!

"Thank you so much for coming this year - the storytelling

was absolutely brilliant! So much great feedback from folk about it!"

- Stainsby Folk Fesrtival 2019

We absolutely ADORE a chance to party storyteller style! Our interactive storytelling sets whip little (and big) story lovers away with an eclectic mix of  sensory adventure, fireside folk tale and creative story-crafting!

Our story sessions are all about engaging with a great tale! Come gather around the fire to enjoy a story accompanied by sounds and sensations that bring the characters and their adventures truly to life! There's plenty of dress up and duelling, dancing and laughing to enjoy and, once our story is over, we hand over to the real imagination experts who can spend time exploring our saga stones and telling us all about the next exciting stage of the story! Expect a heady mix of ancient myth and modern magical story. The only thing our audience needs to bring is a big imagination!

The tales we tell range from Odysseus's adventures on the enchanted island of Aiaia to Sir Gawain's gallant stand against the Green Knight. And it's not only about exploring our ancient myths and legends but also enjoying stories crafted by our favourite authors too, such as Roald Dahl and J.K Rowling!

Stories we're shared this year include:

Tiddalick the Thirsty Frog (Aboriginal Dreamtime Tale)

The Water Spirit's Gift (First Nation's Tale)

Hercules the Hero (Greek/Roman Mythology)

Sir Gawain and The Green Knight (Arthurian Mythology)

Emrys and the Dragons (Arthurian Mythology)

The Tale of Taliesin (Welsh Mythology)
