Fully embrace the energy of spring with Somatic Movement Educator Rebecca Bond and professional storyteller Pridie Tiernan.

Spend a blissful day exploring the relationship between our inner and outer worlds, with this beautiful blend of nature-inspired somatic movement, breath work, storytelling and inspired art.

We'll map both body and land; tracking sensation and breath through spontaneous movement, and sharing stories, experiences and dreams rooted in our experiences of the natural world.

Add to that the time to walk, talk, forage, explore a variety of creative art forms such as mandalas and alters, and we have ourselves a heavenly setting in which to celebrate this extra special time of year.

This man is a wizard with wood, and here is the perfect opportunity to hang out with our resident woodsman and ask him anything you want about felling, processing and working with trees.

Dan will demonstrate some of the very many interesting things he gets up to here with trees, as well as guide you in the creation of your very own masterpiece to take home.

We are lucky enough to have Lauren as our artist in residence this year and, WOW, does this woman know how to make real magic happen when it comes to combining art and environment. As well as being an incredible artist and art therapist, Lauren REALLY lives the wild outside life here in Wales (ask her what it's like to sleep deep in the woods in winter - she knows!)

This longer afternoon session provides you with the perfect amount of time to to try your hand at the incredibly meditative practice of cyanotyping. You'll leave with a piece of your own exquisite nature-inspired art and a whole new set of skills for creatively engaging with the great outdoors!

Ever wanted to be better at recognising our constellations? We share their stories while we wait for the sun to set (21:16) and the stars to come out!

We are in a Dark Sky Reserve and the stars are really something. Even if moonrise is early and bright, or if the weather is cloudy and overcast, you'll still with a ready supply of stories and be better equipped to recognise your constellations, we promise!

The fourth of our Family Bushcraft holiday workshops. This workshop focuses on foraging from the hedgerow and meadow in order to make some magical medicines for the home - we walk out with our baskets to forage for plants that we'd usually pass by, whittle our own spatulas, create our own bubbling decoctions on the fire, and make beeswax balms, tonics and teas to take home.

Expect a rich mix of story, foraging, practical plant medicine, and inspirational art and crafting.

From the folklore of trees and hedgerow medicine making, to primordial tool making and the magic of sun prints and cyanotyping - this is a workshop with nature, art and plants at the heart of it all!

Promising to be possibly one of our most beautiful workshops this year, Hedgerow Collective are joining folklorist and storyteller Pridie Tiernan for a glorious morning of celebrating our native trees with folklore, stories and skin-tinglingly enchanting harmonies.

This really will be a unique experience, definitely not one to be missed. The mission of the collective is to collect and share songs about trees to celebrate an entwined history. We honestly can't think of any better kind of morning!

The first of our Family Bushcraft holiday workshops. Perfect for all the family, this workshop focuses on all things fire - from foraging the right seasonal materials and mouthwatering morsels to tinder bundle construction, fire lays, bow drill and a truly magical bannock recipe!

The second of our Family Bushcraft holiday workshops. This workshop focuses on using, and making, tools in the outdoors - from foraging for string and whittling knives, to building fire tripods and weaving with willow, it's all about how we use what nature provides to create the most incredible things!

Our man James is happiest when he's constructing something...especially if the kit he's building involves fire!

Come and hang out with us for an hour and find out how easy it is to make your own little camping stove - powered by twigs!

(Please be aware that this session involves sharp things and adults need to be present if kids want to get involved.)

These popular story walks are an hour long and take place at Cwmffrwd Farm Campsite. 

During the walk, Pridie shares a magical mix of folklore and stories connected to our native trees, plants and creatures, as well as an exciting assortment of practical bushcraft and wilder life tips.

Join Lauren and explore the history of runes. From their origins within the Germanic tribes and Nordic cultures of Northern Europe to their enduring influence today, supporting practitioners in their healing, magic, and rituals.

Following this, participants will create individual sculptures, foraged from the surroundings. These will then be taken with ceremony to a location to create a semi-permanent, natural, communal art piece, that will stay for as long as nature intends.

Educator and artist Kate is one of those very special humans. Specialising in combining the creative arts with mindful meditation in wild nature spaces, this lady takes you on a journey that is guaranteed to gift you peace and inspiration throughout!

Kate is with us teaching drawing and watercolours this year - all inspired by the native trees on site. 

Here is the perfect opportunity to hang out with Kate and learn how to make exquisite art with trees as your inspiration, leaving with your very own masterpiece to take home.

The third of our Family Bushcraft holiday workshops. This very special workshop will be led by our artist in residence Lauren Youngs, focusing on foraging from the hedgerow and meadows to make the most incredible natural art and crafting materials as well as equisite nature-inspired art itself! From using bark to make brushes, creating charcoal based paints, and experimenting with mushroom made inks, to drawing from nature and chatting about living off grid - this will be a truly delightful experience!

Have you ever held an acorn in your hand and wondered at the world it contains within? Have you ever sat with a tree, and imagined its story - past, present and future?

Join Antonia and Pridie on this immersive nature-based writing workshop, where you'll explore and deepen your connection with the more than human world via a beautiful blend of practical bushcraft experiences, nature-inspired storytelling and joyful writing exercises. 

​

Antonia and Pridie share a passion for exploring how practical and storied immersion in nature can connect people with the natural world. The more we become engaged with nature, the more we want to do all we can to protect it! 

​

In essence, this workshop is a very gentle form of environmental activism, done through the joyful medium of outdoor skill development and the spoken and written word. It will involve the sharing of stories around the fire, a chance to learn about the 'old ways' of interacting with the land, an opportunity to find out more about the plants and the trees, and to get creative with some imaginative, uplifting writing exercises that help people sink deeper into the folds of the natural world.
