Once again, I'm working with the fabulous 'Uh Oh Books' team and today's storytelling is also a workshop for those
keen to get creating their own spoken stories! This session will encourage us to think about IMPLICIT MEANING/SUBTEXT and the MESSAGE that lies beneath the top layer of the tale!

To start us off, I'll share a couple of stories - FIRST UP, the Fijian legend 'The Turtle Nuts of the Vonu Tree' that warns of what happens when we don't listen to those who are wise about our wildlife! will focus on the positive impact of working together to make things better for everyone, as well as warn about what happens when we don't protect our planet as well as we should!
My SECOND STORY will be 'The Maidens Who Saved Guam' - an inspiring sea-based tale where women work together to rid the ocean of an evil fish - and reminding us that we can all work together in creative and inspiring ways to heal, protect and preserve our very precious planet!
I'm going to run this session more like an interactive workshop, so have your scribbling equipment at the ready because I'll have you mind-mapping, story-boarding, sketching and spinning stories along with me!
